La Croisière Cinquantenaire
Sometime in the summer of 1972, the idea of a jubilee expedition to mark the 50th anniversary of the first crossing of the Sahara was born.
Here is a story from Louis Gay, who participated in the expedition. The story was published in the magazine Le Saharien no. 66 and 67 from 1976 and 1978 respectively.
